We are proud to present our annual Agronomy Research Summary, which is now available at no cost to farmers across the country. This year’s booklet reflects research conducted or sponsored by the company’s agronomy team throughout the 2022 growing season, including several areas impacted by the dry year experienced in many regions.
Subjects include fungicide use, foliar nutrient applications, and overall yield assessment.

As well, the 36-page booklet includes results from research on nitrogen-related topics, intensive management, the effect of nematodes on rootworm feeding in corn-after-corn, as well as topics of interest on soybeans.

“In an environment of uncertain commodity prices and higher input costs, it’s more important than ever for farmers to have access to the most up-to-date agronomic information possible,” said Stephen Denys, Maizex Director of Market & Product Development. “Our efforts here are really aimed at providing information that can make a difference in farm management and input decisions with the goal of increasing profitability for Canadian farmers,” he added.

The booklet has been compiled by the company’s agronomy team, including Market Development Agronomist Henry Prinzen who says, “this research would not be possible without our farm co-operators, to whom we are extremely grateful.”
