Traits and Technology

The Roundup Ready® Xtend Crop System is expanding to provide you with more choices than ever. Built on Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® technology, you can still count on the high-yielding performance you’ve come to expect, but now with the added benefit of glufosinate tolerance.

Safe, simple, dependable weed control. Roundup Ready 2 Yield offers the same great weed protection that farmers have come to expect from original Roundup Ready soybeans but with more yield potential. Roundup Ready 2 Yield Soybeans were developed through extensive gene mapping that identified specific DNA regions in soybeans that have a positive impact on yield. Using advanced insertion and selection technologies, the Roundup Ready 2 Yield gene is situated in one of these high-yield DNA regions to deliver high yield potential.

Soybean technology that provides not only yield potential, but the key to unlocking broad spectrum weed control from both glyphosate and dicamba-based herbicides, including glyphosate-resistant weed strains.

Novel soybean technology that provides yield potential together with tolerance to three herbicides to provide outstanding weed control. These herbicides include recommended Enlist formulations of 2,4-D, glyphosate and glufosinate (active ingredient in Liberty herbicide).

Conventional corn growers want high yields. For the most advanced, highest-yielding conventional corn hybrids, choose Maizex X-Series. These hybrids are developed using modern breeding techniques, but are GMO free. Conventional herbicide programs must be used for weed control.
