Traits and Technology

Corn hybrids with the VT Double PRO® trait feature dual modes of action for above ground insects, such as Corn Earworm and European Corn Borer. The 5% non-Bt refuge corn is blended in every bag. Just fill the planter and go for convenient refuge compliance. Roundup Ready® Corn 2 Technology System tolerant. Hybrids with the VT Double PRO® trait should be the number one choice for rotated acres.

  • Broad spectrum control of above ground pests including Western Bean Cutworm, Black Cutworm, Corn Borer, Corn Earworm, and Fall Armyworm.
  • Builds on VT Double PRO® technology with enhanced insect control for healthier stalks and improved grain quality potential.
  • Maizex Trecepta® RIB Complete® hybrids are the preferred choice in areas with a high incidence of Western Bean Cutworm.
  • 5% Non-Bt refuge corn blended in the bag for easy field management.
  • Roundup® Ready Corn 2 Technology System tolerant.

SmartStax® provides the most advanced hybrid stack of herbicide tolerance and insect protection traits against European Corn Borer, Black Cutworm and Corn Rootworm. The 5% non-Bt refuge corn is blended in every bag. Just fill the planter and go for convenient refuge compliance. Roundup Ready® Corn 2 Technology and LibertyLink® System tolerant. Hybrids with the SmartStax® trait should be the number one choice for corn on corn acres.

Roundup Ready® Corn 2 technology provides producers with the flexibility and convenience of the Roundup® Ready system.

Conventional corn growers want high yields. For the most advanced, highest-yielding conventional corn hybrids, choose Maizex X-Series. These hybrids are developed using modern breeding techniques, but are GMO free. Conventional herbicide programs must be used for weed control.

Maizex Corn Seed Treatment Options

For most producers, seed treatments are a critical tool in ensuring early-season seedling survival and growth.  At Maizex we recognize that your seed treatment needs depend on the presence of insect and disease pests above threshold levels field by field on your farm.  To provide flexibility to meet your needs, the following treatment options are available on all Maizex seed corn hybrids:

Mother Nature rarely produces the exact same seed size year in and year out in a seed corn crop. With the investment made today in precision planting systems, Maizex understands the need to fine-tune planters to deliver the best singulation and uniformity possible.

With Maizex SeedRight, we test your hybrids and seed sizes to recommend air pressure or brush settings to achieve the best singulation for the seed grade you are planting.
