Research Intern

Maizex Seeds is an innovative, Canadian farmer-owned seed company growing to meet the needs of producers across Canada. We are currently looking for a self-motivated individual who wants to be on the leading edge of new seed solutions for today’s farmer in the role of Research Intern. The position term is from late April to the end of August 2026 in Chatham-Kent, Ontario.

This role will provide an excellent opportunity to learn about the seed industry from a research perspective. The role includes the following:

• Assist in planting and managing a range of research and pre-commercial trial locations.
• Evaluate different corn hybrids and soybean varieties from planting through to full canopy and reproductive stages.
• Support efforts in the corn breeding nursery.

Desired qualifications:

• A diploma or degree student in agriculture or related field
• Driver’s licence with insurable driving record
• Good interpersonal skills
