2026 Agronomy Insights Now Available
March 12, 2026Our agronomy and product teams conduct research annually with the goal of providing ideas or support information to help you make the best decisions to maximize profitability on your farm. The summary of our 2025 Ontario agronomy research and findings from the past season can be found in our 2026 Agronomy Insights publication.
This includes our efforts on hybrid characterization in corn and our research to determine how and when our soybean varieties build yield. In addition, this publication covers our continuing work with intensive management and nitrogen management in corn, sulfur management in soybeans, and what to keep in mind when double-cropping soybeans after winter wheat, among other topics.
As a Canadian farmer-owned seed business, we continue to invest in our pre-commercial testing program with research and field scale trial locations across the country to provide you with new and higher yielding products. We are also continuing our investment in Canadian seed production. This includes a new processing and treating plant for seed corn at our Blenheim, Ontario, facility. This is all part of our goal to support Canadian farmers across the country with Canadian grown seed into the future.
As planting draws near, our dealers and the Maizex support team are at the ready to meet your needs this spring. Remember that, if you already have corn or soybean seed on order or purchased from Maizex for 2026, any additional units purchased this spring will qualify for all early-order and volume discounts given last fall. With that in mind, this is the perfect time of year to finalize your field plans with your Maizex Seeds dealer. Ask them about how best to position Maizex products field by field for success on your farm.
We would like to thank all our cooperators for their help in making this research possible.
