One of the key economic and logistic advantages to a strip tillage system should be the ability to run a corn planter that is stripped down and simplified, i.e. no additional toolbars, no coulters, no trash wheels, no fertilizer discs, no dry fertilizer, no liquid fertilizer, etc. However, this raises one significant question!

Can a producer with a good strip-tillage system that is incorporating fertilizer into the strip really get away without any fertilizer on the planter?
